Pros

The best part of DGM is that some of the people are absolute gems. I work with many people who genuinely care about our participants.

Cons

The pay and benefits have stagnated and have not kept up with inflation, limited PTO, no sick time, and no paid holidays/ holiday pay. The higher ups have a toxic bro culture and ignore all lower paid employees largely. This company has rapidly expanded (50 employees to 230 in a year) and there has been little to no thought about how to structure the company during this growth. There is little staff support, a large tolerance for toxic behavior by certain protected parties, and zero training. There are also lots and lots onsite safety risks as well as chronic understaffing.

Pros

If your site has a good culture, it is a wonderful place to work. I do not dread coming to work like I did at toxic workplaces in the past. The work I do feels meaningful and I feel that management cares about me, my progress, and actually wants to truly do our best to help those we serve, which unfortunately isn’t true for other jobs I have been in.

Cons

Communication breakdown between program managers and the executive team. Some things have been told to me by a program manager which executives don’t know about and won’t always uphold the promises that had been made by your program manager.

Pros

The only problem about this company is it's history of promoting internally

Cons

There are so many * Malicious gossip among employees is rampant * Low Pay * Managers with no social service experience. Example, a staff member with 1 year of experience was promoted to a Senior Program Manager position * Clients not held accountable for violating policies and/or rules * Frequent physical attacks on staff * Unsanitary working conditions
