Design Blitz Response
2yMessage from Design Blitz (not an accounting and tax company):
We live in an age of online reviews – work, food, movies, everything. Regardless of the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of these reviews, we generally value the experience of other humans, and we’ll read what someone else has to say. But experiences are personal, we rarely know anything about the person writing the review (particularly anonymous reviews), and we don’t know what their motivation is.
I’ve found that curious, thoughtful, creative people ask questions. They keep reading even when they find information that supports or challenges their opinion, and they experience things for themselves, because there’s always more to know. This is how we grow, and how we learn.
So, in that spirit, if you read a bad review about blitz on here (we’re not perfect – no organization is), just reach out. Ask us questions about it. This way you can make an informed decision of your own. It could be easy to let other people that you don’t know, and may never meet, make important career decisions for you (or decide what you eat, or what you watch) but I don’t recommend it. You might miss out on something that works for you but didn’t for someone else.
So, pick up the phone, or send us an email. The conversation may go something like this: “hey – I’m interested in the position you’re advertising, but I read some bad reviews about your company on Glass Door and it’s making me have second thoughts about applying. Can we talk through it, as it may influence my final employment decision”.
We will be happy to talk with you about your concerns, what we’ve been doing and continue to do, to make it a great place to work. We can also talk about how you can help us with that. We’d love to hear from you. Seth Hanley, Founding Partner.
