Pros

Honestly don't have much positive to say about this location other than I always maintained good relationships with fellow coworkers.

Cons

Where do I start? When I was first hired I was told my starting wage was $xx.xx, I found out after my first pay stub that this was in fact not true (red flag #1). After talking with them about it, they fixed nothing so I reluctantly continued as I needed the money, to work at this wage until my first annual review. I was told at this review that I would be receiving a $1 raise (they were weirdly condescending during the meeting even tho they only had good things to say about my performance) only to find out recently that this, again, was a LIE. The managers and supervisors are the definition of unreliable. So unreliable that I sometimes just have to laugh about it instead of getting furious about my unfortunate situation. To show how ridiculous it gets here, I tracked down what time on average I get off my shift for the last four months. I, on average, get off 14 minutes late (a supervisor always comes in after my shift so there's absolutely no reason it should get this bad). Said supervisors have shown up on the regular HOURS late with no text, no phone call, NO NOTHING. Not only are guests incredibly rude and arrogant, which I guess is sadly expected considering I work in guest services, but they can be mentally and physically harmful. I have worked a lot of night shifts at this place and I have been groped, bullied and screamed at by guests (and I am a man, I've only heard worse from past women coworkers) and when I reach out to my manager about getting an HR contact, I get told "I will give you our benefits and info packet this week!" I've asked 4 times, still no way to access HR, my 401k and other benefits. It feels like I've been cheated by this place ever since I started and the only thing I regret is not quitting earlier. If you don't heed my warning you will be disappointed. I trained 7 people this past summer. The person that stayed the longest was 2 weeks. They quit for the reasons I have stated above. This place is an absolute garbage fire at times. ALSO for some reason they refuse to do any improvements on the hotel except for cosmetics. It may look nice inside but I assure you this place is built like a deck of cards, since I started I have witness the hotel's pool ceiling fall apart and crumble not once, but TWICE. Anywho, no the greatest place in the world to work. I'd seriously consider going to any other location if your interested in the hotel industry.

Pros

The guests were always lovely, and made the job fulfilling.

Cons

Management was awful, no support from them. Favoritism, enabling one person something but not the other. No structure; expectations and rules change by the day. Upper management turns a blind eye to misconduct and abuse of all forms. No loyalty from the company to its employees. Wage theft, illegal time clock adjustments, sexual harrassment from superiors, hostile work environment, all condoned by upper management.
