Pros
The clinic is kept up nicely and is aesthetically pleasing.
Cons
I worked at CC for about a month, this was one of the most miserable months of my life. In the month that I worked at CC I was never trained by any "supervisory" staff member on anything, including how a typical day would look/work, the kids that I would be working with or the different responsibilities of my job. I was basically just thrown in to learn for myself. No one took the time to get to know me or value my prior experiences. Before working at CC I worked in a school for kids on the autism spectrum with severe behavioral issues. I was taught first hand how to implement behavioral procedures to help these kids achieve independence. At CC I was treated like a "newbie". The girls are very caddy and cliquey. There is NO professional rapport between any of the staff. Being a graduate student in a behavior analysis program and having previously worked at a school for children with ASD and severe behavior issues I truly feel that I would have been more competent than many of the BCBAs at CC. For example, one child I worked with had behavioral issues when presented with work tasks. Instead of following through with the demand the procedure in place allowed for escape maintained behavior. I was completely confused and frankly appalled by his BCBAs reaction of "Do you want to be the one to tell him to do work?" when I suggested that this behavior is only being reinforced by the "intervention" she had in place. This same student had zero programs in place so I would spend 2-3 hour sessions running maintenance ITT cards with him. All of these things made applying for a new job very easy.
