Pros

Networking with over 200K employees is nice

Cons

These job layoffs have killed morale. We finish meetings wondering if that’ll be our last. The tenured folks aren’t too worried but know that this job might be their last if they are laid off. These layoffs are expected to continue into 2026 and the only consolation we get as employees is managers saying “keep doing what you’re doing.” Morale is gone and they may lose more people to attrition than to these layoffs.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
