Pros

Flex hours, work from home when needed.

Cons

Benefits get worse every year, it's a race to zero. No growth, no bonus regardless of performance. Bell curve evaluation process, somebody must get a poor review even if everyone performs well. New hires are over compensated with lofty titles and bonus guarantees, while existing loyal performers get no growth and no bonus. Toxic work environment, when the going gets rough, the fingers start pointing. Lot's of in-fighting and empire building.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
