Very demanding, can be fun and rewarding - Crew Member Chipotle Employee Review

Pros

Free food, paid breaks, high standards, cool atmosphere, 50% discount when not working, challenging, flexible schedule, some great coworkers and regular customers. The job was definitely a challenge but I enjoyed working as a team to get through rushes. The store manager was very involved and helped when needed.

Cons

Favoritism, immature managers, meager raises (as low as 5 cents biannually), sometimes asked/expected to work during breaks. It is normal for prep/grill to work through breaks. If it's really busy or they get behind, they will work an entire 8 hour shift without a break. Most annoying part was arriving at work early/on time and being told to clock in 15-30 mins later to save hours if it's not busy. Scheduled shifts can be cancelled on arrival.

Pros

Learning and growing to cultivate your own career path into a competent General Manager. The hours are longer than regular but the position is labeled as salary hourly with a minimum of 50 hours per week which guarantees 10 hours if overtime per week.

Cons

The long hours can be tiring and the expectations are less than or equivalent to that of a General Manager and depending who your boss is dependent on what you learn and how you can grow.
