Pros

Comp is equal to market

Cons

Capco likes to talk deia but when it comes down to it they are so far from the mark. Putting programs into place and classes but All of senior leadership are straight white guys - with a few token symbolic leaders that are put in a corner- is hardly advocacy. If you work here go in knowing you are disposable. There will be no development, onboarding is a joke, HR is useless and has no seat at the table. Client work is tedious, not strategic and not interesting. Capco has no strategy on the client side. There are no deep SME’s; only mid level deck makers.

Capco Response

We are disappointed to read your comments. Capco has an active DEI strategy and has established and published hiring and progression targets for underrepresented groups at all levels which we are making good progress against. We also have a dedicated DEI function which plays an integral role in providing best practice guidance and supports our DEI efforts. All employees complete a formal induction process and are assigned a Coach to support them on their Capco journey. We are also in the process of rolling out a global onboarding approach which includes a dedicated site to cover the first 90 days and beyond and guidance on who to reach out to for additional support. Contrary to your comments, Capco hires colleagues from a range of backgrounds including experienced career consultants and SMEs with deep industry knowledge focused on the financial services market. Our US Managing Partner has a wealth of experience both within and outside of Capco and is supported by leaders who are experts in their chosen area. Our US Managing Partner shares regular updates on the business, including strategy and clients, on our All Hands calls and in other forums. We encourage candidates to take a look at the reviews on this forum which are testament to our DEI focus and #BeYourselfAtWork culture. If you are looking for a firm where you can progress and make your mark, then Capco is the place.

Pros

- Good work-life balance - Nice people - Cool office (Empire State Building)

Cons

- Low raises + bonuses (promotions are highly political/based on who you know) - Low mobility on certain projects - Difficult to get involved in planning/helping with community events (part of performance review) - Leadership positions competitive rates as our differentiator (i.e., firm competes on cost rather than on technical depth/expertise relative to peer firms)
