Pros

CTDI is a good place to work at if you're a first-tiem worker and you're looking for experience. You'll pick-up a lot of skills and experience the real working world. Also a good place for someone who currently doesn't have a job and needed a labor or technical job for a time-being.

Cons

Not a good place to work if you're looking for an engineering job or a professional technician job that you can build professional experience. You can't really move anywhere with the company or from the company. You'll still get some work experience though if you never had worked at all in your life like me. If you're looking for a stable technical job that you can rely your employment status on for a long period of time, CTDI is not a place to work then. When their contract with other companies ended and production slows, the next round of lay-offs hits. If you prefer a work environment where you are treated fairly. CTDI is not a great place to work. Most of their cultural values are the production quantity than the production quality. When you're training for a new assignment, it's best to put effort into learning it quick so that you can race an average worker to show the company you're capable of being able to make the productions they usually wanted. There's no cafeteria. You are compelled to prepare lunch everyday, whether you're 1st or 2nd shift. There are around 5-7 working microwaves available at least. Bring plenty of Ramen noodles in your car, so if you forgot your lunch or didn't get a chance to make your lunch, you have something to eat. You also can stock your house up with frozen lunches, that would help. Also they do have vending stations that sells snacks and frozen lunches + Ramen noodles in case you don't have anything to eat during lunch break (bit pricey though). The closest fast food restaurant is about 7-8 min away.

We are glad we were able to give you some valuable work experience as you started your work career. We would like to mention that while production efficiency is very important in the telecommunications industry and in meeting our customer requirements, we do provide a fair working environment in which to achieve those goals. Also, please be aware that we are a company with a multitude of advanced technical opportunities for those employees who obtain the proper education and training. Our Engineers and Technicians are at the core of our success and we actively look to promote from within into those roles.

Pros

Depending on your branch, it can be a very tight knit group. I have great coworkers but I can only speak for my branch. Decent benefits and weekly pay!

Cons

The pay is okay, Seems like higher ups are pretty strict and it's difficult to get the tools and parts needed for repairs.
