Pros
-Great for work life balance/flexible working -Very supportive to working parents -Some friendly people -Very nice office
Cons
- Often, if you are junior and younger in age, you are ignored, opinions are not taken into consideration and progression is hindered. The CIPD’s workforce seems to be mainly be people who are approaching middle age or older, which affects younger hirers as you are looked down on. -Many long standing employees are very reluctant to change. -Hierarchical, again, you are ignored if you are not at a certain level. For example, the head of people experience seemed to only be pleasant towards people over a certain level. -Pay is poor and they make various justifications for this, yet it is known that they will pay certain people over the odds. -Cult like workforce in many pockets of the organisation, especially amongst long standing employees - very cliquey. -Blame culture and a lot of finger pointing. -SLT/Senior managements seem clueless, huge lack of transparency and a massive sense of ‘them vs us’. -Out of touch CEO, extremely old school views
