Pros

None that I can remember.

Cons

There were people with crazy personality promoted to positions not qualified or no relevant experience to lead. This created chaos down the org chain. Team leaders would threw subordinates under the bus. Project leaders and line leaders don't respect or care team's WLB and employee had to burn mid night oil and/or work in weekend to get things done and meet deadline.

They provide a wealth of learning materials to further your career.

Cons

My experience was that upper management does not understand what those in lower level positions do, and they don't take advantage of experience and knowledge of those below them to make strategic decisions.
