Pros
The space industry is defined by excitement and drama. It is complex, global, and more diverse than one might think. BryceTech studies it all - from how the industry was founded to how it is evolving. We examine existing and emerging space markets, and how they address customer needs. We look at civil government and national security activities, from budgets and workforce to policies and programs. We also produce a wide variety of tools designed to distill and effectively communicate how these factors impact our customers and our world. For me, the pros of working for BryceTech are: 1. Integrity and honesty - we want to provide the most accurate and meaningful insights for our clients; we work to find a useful solution within the client's budget. We rarely make mistakes, but when we do we own them and do what it takes to rapidly address them. 2. Analytical rigor - we research and analyze data, then translate the results for our client. This depends on asking the right questions and challenging results as a team. Reviews are very hard but necessary, resulting in products we are proud of. 3. Colleagues - I work with the most impressive bunch of people - intelligent and creative, with diverse backgrounds and perspectives who care about our world and our future. It is the main reason I am happy to work at BryceTech. 4. Executive leadership - I'm very honored to work for those who founded and run the company. I greatly respect them, and this is critical to my happiness as an employee. 5. Bureaucracy at a minimum - at BryceTech, the barriers to getting things done are reduced as much as possible to make sure we can provide solutions quickly. 6. Benefits - BryceTech employee benefits are very good. 7. Opportunity to grow - we are growing, but not for growth sake; rather, we are in demand because of the quality of our services and how we deliver them. This means we have many opportunities for career advancement. 8. Creative - BryceTech promotes creative thinking and creative solutions. I love this aspect of my work.
Cons
For me, this is not a con. But for some, it is: What we do is hard, fast-paced work resulting in high-stakes products for decision-makers. Sometimes the questions being sought are murky and ill-defined. We help clarify these questions and analyze solutions vigorously. Team review sessions can be stressful but in the end we and the product are better for it. Not everyone can handle it.
