      Pros

      I was very satisfied with the staff; everyone is intelligent, usually coming from Ivy League universities, and principal investigators are well connected.

      Cons

      Academia just doesn't pay well in general, and BU doesn't have the endowment of some neighboring institutions.

      Pros

      free food events half-day time off before holidays most paid breaks in the boston area (including all holidays, intersession) friendly environment able to park

      Cons

      no raises since 2024 and doesn't look like that's going to change don't pay enough for the work that needs to be done
