I know some colleagues who have been told they will continue with the company until the last days of their contract, where they were surprised that they are not staying. Performing very well does not reflect on your position in the company. No fairness/ ethics at work decisions if the law doesn't abide them to do so. People with temporary contracts are treated very poorly simply because no law abides them to respect their time in the company
