Upper management doesn't care about retail workers A lot of playing favorites They don't appreciate you if you do above and beyond your work A lot of cat-fights This depends on your manager, but it became a toxic company to work for as my manager was actually abusing a lot of the casuals, the turnover was high, but the company did nothing to this because she manage to meet the budgets The promise "bonuses" or "presents" on challenges, but it could take about a year for you to receive your promised rewards. Sometimes you never even get them No career progression, regardless of what they say If you're doing overtime because of closing, cleaning, etc, THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU
