Pros
- Among the delivery consultants who have not already left, there are many talented and dedicated professionals who take good care of customers. - Many layers of ineffective management have been weeded out. There are some promising managers emerging. - The company still enjoys a good reputation in some markets, but most of that is based on expectations that are no longer realistic.
Cons
- Too many timid, ineffective and unprofessional middle managers remain. - The top down delivery of management platitudes have little bearing on the real work that gets done. - IT systems are cumbersome and often inaccessible. Recent upgrades to the new and improved systems are no better. - Compensation is flat and gets no attention after initial hire. - Performance reviews are arbitrary and have little to do with anything related to actual accomplishment. - Very modest bonuses are always way below target and based on some vague corporate performance metrics that were never adequately defined.
