Pros

The people are the best part of working at Aramark. There are so many great people that work for Aramark. I've worked for the company for 3 years and have been in 4 different (progressive) roles within the company and have enjoyed working for/with the people in each of the teams. The development culture of Aramark is amazing. There are so many opportunities for advancement and to change roles into different lines of the business. It's a great place to start and develop a career that allows for you to continue to learn. It offers this advantage which other companies in the area are unable to offer. The benefit package is average. It's better than what my spouse's company offers but not quite as comprehensive as another company I've worked for. The location of Headquarters is ideal for those living in the Philadelphia area. It's convenient from the suburbs of PA and NJ as well as within the city. It's a short drive from the airport as well which makes travelling easier.

Cons

The only con I've seen currently is that the company is in a change phase. It gives a certain level of insecurity for the workforce as it's not always clear what's going to happen next. Things have settled down since the changes have begun but there seems to be a lot of change still to come.

Pros

Schedule is set, with the exception of needing to help work larger events. There are deadlines, but a lot of the job is independent and requires you to be able to be extremely organized and self-sufficient.

Cons

Some procedures are outdated. The amount of printing that is done for things people have computer access to is wild.

Pros

Working as a Lead Barista has been a rewarding experience that has helped me grow both professionally and personally. The role has strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while allowing me to mentor and support team members. I enjoy creating positive customer experiences, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and service. The fast-paced environment has taught me how to multitask effectively, stay organized, and work under pressure. This position has also provided valuable experience in training staff, inventory management, and team collaboration. Overall, being a Lead Barista has been an excellent opportunity to develop skills that are transferable to leadership and project management roles.

Cons

While being a Lead Barista has provided valuable leadership and customer service experience, the role can be challenging at times. The fast-paced environment often requires managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including customer service, beverage preparation, inventory management, and team support. Staffing shortages and high customer volume can create stressful situations, especially during peak hours. The position also requires long periods of standing, frequent lifting, and maintaining energy throughout the shift. Additionally, balancing leadership responsibilities with daily operational tasks can be demanding, particularly when addressing customer concerns or training new employees while meeting service expectations
