Cons
As an Sr. Leader, you are never off. The job is 364 days a year. 24/7. Only exception is if you are out of cell phone range and or wi-fi Too many silos. Sr. Operators are held accountable for the results of stakeholders yet there is no direct reporting relationship. Competing agendas from these stakeholders Gaps in leadership coverage take far too long to find a solve. The unintended consequence of the company's very generous leave policy is that locations are left void of leadership coverage for months on end and are just expected to "absorb" the gap. At one point my site had up to 1/2 of it's leaders on leave. Manager burnout based on location. Some locations are very busy, managers end up working 12 hour shifts 4 days per week while others work 8-10 hours per day at 40 hours per week. All are compensated the same. The organization has been slow to react to this call out even tho they have been aware of this for 2 years.
