Pros
The experience is good. Many of the practices Allstate has in place are very mature. It's a good place to go if you are young, and want to get experience as a project manager.
Cons
Where do i start...I think at some point in the 70's,80's, and 90's people could build careers at Allstate, but not anymore. In today's environment, prepare yourself for low morale, below average pay, frequent layoffs, and out of touch leaders. The "good hands" are nothing more than a PR myth. The real hands, those of upper management, are more like reaper. Other than someone who really needs a job or is fresh out of school, I would not recommend working at Allstate. They entice you with dreams of pensions, but at the 2.5 year mark, prepare to get laid off - you will never hit the year three mark required to secure that benefit, and if you do reach that milestone, consider yourself lucky.
