Pros

If you know how to sell insurance the earning potential is high. The residuals can really make you a lot of money and keep you a float even when you are not selling.

Cons

I was told I would be a financial planner but really you are an insurance salesman. Cold calling, business to business door walking, and learning scripts. There is no pay for the long training program and no personal space to work.

Pros

Great benefits (401k, health, PTO)

Cons

Overall the people are great and the company emphasizes it cares for its employees. Some days are longer than others and you are expected to juggle multiple projects at once, if you cannot do this it is easy to fall behind on work.

Pros

Freedom to be your own boss, trips, bonuses, renewable income (instead of one time commission), career instead of just a job. FORTUNE 500 and a World's most Ethical Company. Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality. Great family/work balance.

Cons

No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
