Stay away from the San Mateo office, especially the Marketing team. The CMO creates a hostile work environment, including but not limited to: yelling at people behind closed doors; making unwarranted insults; acting arrogant, unreasonable, and hypocritical; setting double standards; very political...list goes on. Problem is that no one speaks up because she's the top boss.
Founders are too disconnected from the turmoil on the ground. Otherwise, they'd already have replaced the CMO and certain other hires she made, which would solve a lot of problems and make many people happy.
Company lets incompetency stay, especially for VPs and above. If you're a senior leader who's lacking, the company will let you hire your way into a solution to cover up your incompetence.
