Pros
Co-workers, supervisors, and management are great. Candidates who are thinking of applying to AMN and are nervous because of the other negative reviews- don't be discourage. The majority of the reviews are recruiter reviews and the recruiting position is a very difficult, demanding, and competitive position.. just like all sales/recruiting corporate jobs. Anyway, as a Credentialing Analyst you receive a month of training and it is a lot of information and you have to have a specific ability to intake information, multi-task, organization, and understand priorities. The supervisors are great and are there to help you succeed. I've worked for a handful of different companies and AMN has core values that they try to instill in their employees which is great because most "old school' corporate companies still run on tunnel vision whereas AMN tries new things and ideas. They encourage their employees to innovate and from what I've seen/experience so far- those who innovate and go over and beyond are rewarded with promotional opportunities.
Cons
As the largest travel healthcare provider in the nation, the pay is about average.. the pay should be at least 15%-20% higher due to the high workload and expectations. There is an average turnover rate and I think this happens because the company is growing, they are kind of just hiring willy nilly out of desperation.. they need to have higher qualifications.
