Pros
Working independently. With no one breathing down your neck constantly.
Cons
Everything accept the 1 “Pro” is a Con. You’re stuck behind a glass window in one room, ALONE for 11+ hours. I think the job in itself is very dangerous. There should be 2 people working AT ALL TIMES. People are crazy as heck these days. These stores are filthy and infested with bugs. Can’t sweep because every store has a broken vacuum just sitting there taking up space. There’s so many violations going on in these stores. If you’re looking to come up on a nice lawsuit, work here. You’re constantly being scheduled to work different stores all over the city so best believe you need a vehicle to work here. You’re working at the very least, 11.75 hours a day so make sure you have all of the things you need (food & drinks) because you can’t leave. You would think they would at LEAST offer their employees FREE COFFEE or snacks or a snack machine or SOMETHING smh. Nope just free purified bottled water. I only drink SPRING WATER so I have to bring my own. There are microwaves and mini refrigerators. You get no time to have a life outside of that job. You open the stores and close them. 8am-8pm. If you work a busy store you get NO BREAK time. You can barely use the restroom. I’m pretty sure that’s against the law but whatever. They want you to sale debit cards constantly which is annoying because the customers already have them or they don’t want them because they don’t want the government “tracking” them. That’s why they are getting hard checks in the first place Ace! Duh! Dealing with the public really isn’t hard. Most people are nice. You occasionally get SOBs but that’s everywhere. Its 2023. There’s better places to work. MUCH BETTER PLACES. There’s employees that have been there for over 10 years because they don’t know any better I think. They haven’t experienced a real job and the luxuries of these new era careers so they have settled for less than mediocre with Ace. I got hurt on my last job and needed something that didn’t require much physical labor. You can sit on this job so that’s really THE ONLY reason why I settled. I couldn’t settle anymore… Don’t waste your time because you will only last a few weeks. Like I said, it’s 2023, not 1993. This is the most important thing, a critical thing I missed. I missed enrollment in benefits. You only have the first 60 days to enroll. After that, you are sh*t out of luck. I had no idea. Trying to adjust to being a new hire, the stresses of learning the job, having TRAINING phone calls WHILE YOURE WORKING and talking to customers, were all distractions from me not hearing critical information & enrolling in benefits on time. No paperwork was ever mailed to my home. NOTHING. Another reason why I quit. I’m working a job with NO BENEFITS? What’s the point!?
