      Great coworkers, some management issues

      Coworkers are fantastic, 27 paid vacation days per year, flexible wfh

      Cons

      Management makes stupid mistakes, high turnover rate, promotions and raises are given arbitrarily and not with full transparency, also pay isn't very competitive. Because of the high turnover rate, people are stressed and forced to take on too much work.

We are however really sorry to hear that as a current employee you haven’t felt able to share your thoughts about the specifics of these issues with someone internally. Ecometrica has a fairly flat structure and employees are welcome to reach out to anyone right up to the CEO to discuss ideas as well as concerns. We want to foster a culture where everyone makes time for one another and supports each other at Ecometrica.       Not a good experience

      Colleagues very friendly and always willing to help.

      Cons

      Management doesn’t care about the employees. When everything is going well it’s all great as soon as you bring up an issue they try to wear you down instead of listening. When multiple people leave at the same time suggesting that people aren’t happy about something, senior management don’t question what the issue could be behind the resignations. No transparency in pay or promotions. The pay gap between female and male employees with the same experience, start date and responsibilities is as high as 19% in some roles. When asked how to get the same pay (maybe it’s due to lack of skill one asks themselves) no specific instructions on what’s lacking and how to achieve the higher pay comes from managers. Some have no insight into how their team is actually working and how they are getting on with their day to day jobs. Clueless. It is thanks to team work and dedicated individuals that the team keeps on functioning. There is no point in going to HR as all you get is excuses and defensiveness.

We really value the supportive working environment everyone has helped to create at Ecometrica. However we are really disappointed to hear that you felt that management doesn’t care about employees as this is most certainly not the case however as an SME we are particularly aware there is always room for improvement.       Good place to start your career in sustainability

      Pros

      The people are very nice and there is a great team spirit. You get to learn so much about sustainability, which is great if you're just starting your career. Great number of vacation days and work/life balance.

      Cons

      Salary is pretty low, there are limited opportunities for future advancement, all new hires are fresh grads, and the team overall has little experience. High turnover. Tasks are unchallenging and repetitive.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed working with the team as well as the great team spirit we have worked hard to cultivate at Ecometrica. We are very proud of the work/life balance we offer which is demonstrated in several ways including the number of vacation days, which are the same for everyone regardless of where they are based or how long they have been at the company. We are however sorry you weren’t as happy with your salary and felt you had limited opportunities. Whilst we are an SME and may not have the same number of opportunities as perhaps larger organisations, we do have clear Junior-Intermediate-Senior levels of progression within roles. We also encourage all employees to carve out their own path within Ecometrica in a way that is personally fulfilling and will assist commercially with reaching the company’s goals. It is true that, along with most companies globally, the aftermath of Covid brought with it an increased number of leavers. This is not something we had experienced before and we know we have to work hard to ensure we provide a satisfying workplace experience for all of our employees.
