Pros

good money, that's about all. there are good lunch places near the office, although the location is disgusting in general.

Cons

the culture was awful, people would get fired seemingly at random due to performance evaluations, but nobody would get performance feedback. there was tons of pressure to work extra hours with ill-defined responsibilities. They tried hard to keep me when I quit, so I guess they thought my work was ok, but I never really knew that. I ultimately left because I couldn't live with the fact that their biggest clients were Lockheed Martin and Monsanto, two disgustingly evil companies.

Thanks for the feedback, I’m really sorry you had a poor experience. We have been steadily improving our formal review/feedback process. We recently moved to a culture of continuous, ongoing feedback. Instead of waiting for a formal performance review, employees are empowered to ask and receive feedback from their peers and managers at any time. Also, Managers can provide more ad hoc, real-time feedback relevant to meetings, projects, OKRs, etc. We are focusing on manager training and some recent training includes how to give feedback to employees and the importance of regular check-ins, amongst other training opportunities offered across the company. We have also worked to increase work life balance on a regular basis, especially now during these uncertain times. Domino encourages everyone to take the time they need through our regular PTO policy. And, as an example of our commitment to employees well-being, the company offered 6 additional holidays across all locations. We also launched a wellbeing program, Living well, that focuses on employees physical and mental health with monthly themes and initiatives. Last but not least, starting in October 2020, we implemented a company wide no meetings Thursday to allow everyone to have focus time while also taking a break from zoom meetings.

Unleashing Micromanagement at Scale

Pros

- Competitive Pay - Solid Benefits - Some really good people

Cons

- Micromanagement - Expectation to scale very quickly while under constant micromanagement - CEO is involved in the smallest of details - They like to pretend to be inclusive and diverse, but it's not really there at the executive level and it certainly is not there at the management level. - They do not value empathy in leaders
