Pros

Some of the important aspects I love about Deem are as follows - The culture is very open and people from peers to the VP and above LISTEN to your thoughts and give time to evaluate - The engineering organization is amazing, where even the VP pitches in to solve hard problems, mentor engineers and have some fun coding - this is something really awesome which I have not experienced else where. - The management cares of the employees and the HR department takes in your requests seriously and acts on them. - The benefits package is comprehensive - if you show the potential, they make sure to keep you well. - The environment has a lot of opportunities to learn and grow and its that time of the company where one can experience the opportunity of a life time. - Excellent work-life balance.

Cons

Having been in the company for sometime now, I do not see much cons. One that is not ideally cons, but something that is part of a start up and will enventually stabilize is that - The process is evolving, it gives a good opportunity to be a part and learn, however, can be tiresome at time with changes.

Pros

Deem is passing for a big modernization in its systems and as a developer is a great moment to join this transformation. At the moment Deem is using the state of the art technology for microservices and they are recruiting smart people to help them to succeed in a new ambitious project

Cons

The process of recruiting and the prioritization of tech tasks could be improved

Pros

Good co-workers. I cannot say good pay, because probably you won't get the salary we had in Deem from Travelport. You are likely to work 95% of the time at home.

Cons

After the takeover of Deem by Travelport, things went downhill. Many coworkers lost their jobs, making everyone feel uncertain and down. Whether we're part of Travelport or still Deem, it needs to be clarified now regarding perks and benefits. Also, while our retirement contributions stayed the same, it takes time to swallow that Travelport gives their employees more. The last time we saw bonuses was before the acquisition, and it doesn't look like we'll get any in the future. On top of that, we've lost some small benefits like income protection, etc, making our overall compensation less appealing. There are no raises or chances to move up, and the president outright said he's not into promoting people. Many talented engineers left, and more will leave soon because there's no room to grow. Things will worsen when hiring in the tech industry comes back this year. Managers and directors no longer have much say in our careers, which needs to be clarified since they're still around. Meanwhile, top bosses get promotions and raises while the rest are stuck. Plus, HR only does the bare minimum. They pass everything to the legal team to avoid WRC complaints, leaving us without much help. Overall, stay away from this company. The bad stuff after the takeover outweighs any good, and things will remain the same.
