Pros

DataClover has been huge for my personal development. You have to wear a lot of hats, and I have been able to learn about how different departments within a business run. Our work environment is laid back, and all employees are allowed to present product ideas and feedback. Every employee is an owner of the company, and management holds us to that standard.

Cons

We had to make some pivots over the last 2 years. In 2014, we restructured the business to meet the needs of our SaaS model.

Pros

High level of individual responsibility and room for professional growth. The company is led by extremely successful, experienced businessmen and investors that are invaluable in developing an innovative startup. Every employee has an opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of this company and be rewarded accordingly.

Cons

In any startup there is going to be tremendous pressure and volatility as the business grows and matures. Some people are not well suited to the constantly shifting environment.

Pros

- The team members I worked with were the best part of the company

Cons

- Turnover is insanely high: On the marketing operations team alone, 5 people left the company in a 6 month period of time - After the team went from 8 to 3 people, NO ONE was hired as replacements for these roles. Management simply allocated the tasks to the employees that were still there (with no pay increase). - After multiple team members asking for new hires to help with the amount of work, management decided to outsource the help through a company in the Philippines instead of investing in full-time, salaried employees. - Patrick, the president of the company, made negative comments to most team members about their work efforts OFTEN while pushing unrealistic expectations with no reasonable compensation. - Raises are few and far between. The only raise most of the marketing operations team received was a "stay bonus" after 5 team members left. The stay bonus still was not a reasonable amount considering we work/live in metro Atlanta. - Be prepared to have no CRM, proper processes, decent client/account tracking systems, or truly anything that will make doing your job more efficient. - There is essentially no HR or real team structure. Training is minimal and expectations are high from the start.

The contributions of Marketing Ops team members were deeply valued. The change in direction for the team was a very difficult decision. In order for the business to move forward, different skill sets needed to be prioritized.
