Pros

The product is genuinely good, and there are some bright, kind individuals across the business trying to make a difference.

Cons

There is a deeply embedded culture of bullying and toxicity. Leadership thrives on micromanagement. Expect constant control over your work, second-guessing of your decisions, and public undermining (no matter your performance or experience). Psychological safety is nonexistent, If you value your mental health, professional growth, or simply being treated with respect...look elsewhere.

Pros

Managed to attract very keen, bright employees in spite of internal corruption. Product & content library is impressive (reflects on employees, not management)

Cons

Extremely toxic working environment. Treacherous managerial level will (and has) closed ranks to protect C-Suite in serious incident of sexual misconduct. If you are a woman, an ally, or simply a person of any professional ethics, you do not want to work with this company (as an employee or as an external instructor).

Miserable place to work

Pros

Catered lunch, some really nice coworkers

Cons

- Excessive work responsibilities that have you working nights & weekends and unable to take any real time off (especially on the content team) - A workload that doesn’t serve to advance your career in data science. You will spend most of your time copy editing and chasing after external contractors to meet their deadlines. - Rampant, abrasive micromanagement. There is no room for variation, errors, learning or improvement. - Job responsibilities are a moving target. You will regularly have your day-to-day responsibilities change, and be held responsible if you don’t meet targets based on skills you were not hired for. - Frequent rewarding/promotion of employees who are known to bully their coworkers and subordinates.
