Pros

The only good thing about this place is the people. They're smart, nice and friendly. This creates a fun atmosphere. If it wasn't for the people, you'd want to quit this place every day (you still do).

Cons

The salary is well below standards, not only for the amount of work they make you do but compared to general London salaries. They claim to benchmark salaries but it’s unclear against what, it certainly doesn’t reflect industry standards. The hours they make you work is unsustainable, and the expectations are unrealistic. The company leans heavily on young employees (often on visas) who can’t easily leave, anyone else would walk out. They're hiring people but there's not enough space in the office. It always gets crammed and there's barely space if you don't come in 15 minutes early. They have a hot desk policy for everyone, except the senior people where of course no one can touch their seat unless you know they won't come in. The obstacles you have to climb to try to get a promotion is too drawn-out, there's multiple steps that takes half a year. And at the end you'll probably get rewarded with more work and peanuts for your salary increase. People would rather quit without anything lined up because the burnout of working here is real. I heard it used to be better when it was a smaller company, but the culture is fading away as the company is getting bigger.

Pros

Overall: I would definitely recommend Curve to a friend (and I have). Honestly, I couldn’t see myself being happier anywhere else, especially when it comes to the culture, the people, and the growth opportunities available. Great culture and people: The culture in general is one of the best parts of working at Curve. Everyone is super friendly and easy to work with, and also great to socialise with. Although Curve has two sides—Tech and Consulting, there’s no divide between them at all. Additionally, there’s no divide between different levels either. Everyone interacts and socialises with each other, whether you’re an Associate or a Partner, whether that’s at lunch, at one of our socials, or through our internal clubs (e.g., Run Club or Games Night). Real growth opportunities: Because you get to work so closely with leadership, and because Curve is a fast-growing company, I’ve been given many opportunities in the past year and a half that I likely wouldn’t have received at other firms. Curve is also very much a place where you can “set your own pace,” as there are no fixed timelines for promotions. Varied work: The range of work keeps things interesting and gives you the chance to build experience across different areas, helping you figure out where you want to specialise. Good work–life balance: Overall, there is a very good work–life balance. Curve is a place where you can have a life outside of work during the working week, and teams are generally very understanding if you need to leave at a specific time for personal reasons. Benefits: The company offers strong benefits, bonuses, healthcare, and great flexibility when it comes to remote working.

Cons

Curve works with a relatively small group of MNCs, so you may end up on the same client for a long period of time. Projects still vary a lot, but it’s helpful to know depending on your personal preference. A very minor point: some social listening tools occasionally require verification codes from another team member, which can be a little fiddly but not a major issue.
