Pros
I made great connections with fellow employees all of whom have since left.
Cons
Salaries for non-directors are low compared to other think tanks in the area. There was no work-life balance and employees often had to work until 9 or 10 pm, on the weekends, and when they were supposed to be on vacation. Leadership did not take any criticism or accountability for mistakes and could take weeks to respond to emails. Small mistakes were blown out of proportion, leadership had no respect for employees' time, they used any information you gave them about your personal life against you, and leadership talked about employees behind their back. Expectations and procedures were constantly changed with no notice and were often not advertised to the whole organization until someone used an outdated file and got yelled at. Multiple complaints were made to HR which resulted in the first HR consultant being let go and when replacements were brought in and another HR complaint was made the 2 HR consultants both left the company. The board either doesn't know or doesn't care. They currently have no head of finance, no Russia program, and no development team.
