Company is absolute trash

Pros

Absolutely Nothing, quit and close shop

Cons

Company feeds off of recently graduated college students to fall into the black hole of going nowhere. You go door to door selling verizon Fios and is 100% the biggest pyramid scheme I’ve ever seen. They say your success doesn’t rely on others but in order to succeed in this black hole you need to interview people to come on your team and when they do they soon find out that it is a door to door gig and they quit. Try doing this process over and over again getting promised this dream that you will open your office one day. Place sucks and you work 80 hours a week but get paid for 40 (which is very illegal not to mention). DO NOT apply DO NOT fall into the black hole.

We're sorry to hear that you found no pros to working with Carthage Management Group. Carthage Management Group operates both legally and ethically within the state labor laws of Massachusetts. Merriam-Webster defines a pyramid scheme as “a usually illegal operation in which participants pay to join and profit mainly from payments made by subsequent participants.” Just to clarify for the readers: we have never nor will we ever accept any kind of payment from an employee. We are contracted by our clients to conduct direct marketing for their products or services. In order for someone to grow within our business they do have to show the ability to teach, train and manage a large team, a crucial skill for most management positions, however they do not take any percentage of commissions from any other employee in the company. Also our working hours are 1145-845 M-F with an hour lunch period. We have the office open Saturdays with management available for OPTIONAL training. We understand that Carthage was not the right fit for you, but we ask that you educate yourself prior to making false claims and invalid judgements about our company.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Pros

You get Sundays off! If your lucky, depending on where you live, you might make it home by midnight after working for 12 hours straight knocking on strangers doors. The training is great!- by great I mean they do an awesome job at teaching you how to knock on a strangers door, convince them to let you in their house, and completely scam them into switching their service while lying through your teeth with the training you receive from these slime balls.

Cons

If I had more time this would be 10 pages long, but recently I noticed they made a website which is absolutely frightening. This job is DOOR TO DOOR SALES. Once I got "promoted" I was taught that while conducting interviews with potential employees, that by any means necessary, lie to them/ avoid telling them this was a door to door sales job. I am posting this review to warn/protect recent college grads or young professionals who are genuinely looking for a career in sales and marketing. This "company" and its "president" (absolutely ridiculous title) advertise this as a platform to a career in sales/marketing and leadership. Unfortunately, the website is somewhat convincing and they are good at promising the world to applicants and advertising this as an actual company that will jump start a sales career. This is a multi level marketing scam disguised as a sales and marketing company. You will be taken advantage of, lied to, stolen from, and you will temporarily lose your friends, social life, and family every second you work here. If this review is read by at least one young person who is considering a job here, I'll take it. That is one less young mind taken advantage of and possibly giving up the idea of a sales career after being taken for a ride from a place calling themselves a sales company.

Pros

You become a savage sales person so its great experience. Great job to use as a stepping stone. If you can cru

Cons

You drink the cool aid hard. I quit on good terms with the boss and definitely didn't get all my commission from the units I closed. Kinda bothered me that he gave it to someone else. The hours are absurd. Probably 60+ hours a week. No work life balance.

First off, we appreciate the time you have taken to review our company. Second we apologize for any negative impressions you have developed while working with us. It does, however, seem that there has been some miscommunication that has led to this negative review. In regards to pay, we encourage that you look over your digital documents that were signed upon employment to be sure you are entitled to the commissions that you are claiming you deserve, if things match up please call or send and email with your concerns and we will be sure things are rectified if there was a mistake on payroll. We only pay commissions to the reps that earned them as long as the commissions break the commission threshold. With the hours, our work day is 1145-845 M-F with an OPTIONAL day for training open on Saturdays 10-4. With the hour lunch period factored into each day it brings the total working hours to 40-46 hours per week. Hope this clarifies any issues for you and potential candidates reading the review and we wish you the best of luck moving forward
