      Declining culture

      Pros

      COMPASS started off as a smaller company with a lot of heart and they recruited such people who were smart, motivated, and compassionate. I used to say that this company practiced what they preached about mental health. There might still be remnants of this company culture in some teams.

      Cons

      As the company grew and recruited more people who are used to more cutthroat, corporate ways of working, the company lost a lot of compassion and became a more toxic working environment. Many employees who originally brought the genuine compassionate energy have already left.

      Pros

      This company's mission is progressive and with good intentions.

      Cons

      As this company grew, it hired some people who did not come from the same values that COMPASS originally had, which led most of the best and compassionate employees to leave. Those who left were genuinely interested in the company's mission. Those who stayed were interested in climbing the corporate ladder.
