      Pros

      In the beginning of my tenure, the company culture was A+: employee positive, transparent, and valued a work/life balance. The tech stack was interesting, react and ruby on rails. Some folks are trying to maintain that positive work culture.

      Cons

      After VC purchased the org almost 2 years ago things started to slowly shift towards its current state of stress, lack of leadership transparency, layoffs and overall poor work life experience. Cancelled health insurance benefits mid-month after submitting my notice and completing the standard 2 week notice but gave no warning insurance would not last until the end of the month.

      Pros

      Unlimited PTO, Good Insurance, Remote work, Nice work-life balance, A very intriguing product with potential, Mac + google shop Some of the engineers are brilliant and great to work with

      Cons

      No vision, Slow development, App lagging 2+ years behind competition, Management has been trying to re-invent scrum and driving everyone nuts with process changes. Everyone is to scared to do anything that would upset an existing customer

      Engineering only functioning department.

      Pros

      The engineers work well together and get things done. We're a well oiled machine!

      Cons

      The product and marketing and sales teams are not recommended. No one stays at the company in those departments for long and they all leave in months. Take a look at the recent leadership change history. I just can't recommend to anyone to work at Bloomfire anywhere but dev.
