Pros

- There are some great people there who are trying to improve things but unfortunately, they get undermined by poor leadership or disillusioned team members - No matter what department, you will be overworked as this company is heavily understaffed in an effort to hit profit targets, as a result you will learn A LOT in a short period of time

Cons

- Everyone is overworked and underpaid - Leadership is not supportive of new initiatives to improve things - People are miserable and exhausted which creates a sour attitude around the office - Because the culture is so bad, people are so miserable, and leadership is poor there is insanely high turnover (Probably ~70-80% per year) that results in new people being thrown into the fire who have no idea what they are doing that you must rely on it. It's not fair to you or to them

Dear Reviewer of BioDuro-Sundia, Thank you for your feedback on your experience. We want to clarify that BioDuro-Sundia's turnover is not what you have described. We would like our turnover rate to be less however, it is not 70-80%. We could not have achieved the growth and success experienced in 2021 if our turnover was at a rate of 70% or more. Please feel free to reach out to us so we may further discuss your experience. BioDuro-Sundia HR Department

Pros

If you’re entry level, you will quickly be exposed to all kinds of techniques and aspects of pharma. Good for gaining broad area of experience

Cons

So “management” is stubbornly insistent on over scheduling and understaffing. Expect to work 10+ hours every day and still be told you’re underperforming. They will promise that help is coming. It is a lie. The intense pressure with no reward leads to high turnover. It is a revolving door of scientists which means help never comes because they are constantly trying to train new people and trading clients. Deadlines are unrealistic, company provided food leaves you hungry in 3 hours. No bonus actually gets paid out because the site never “meets performance goals” and there is no 401k match. Company culture is very selfish and focuses on shuffling blame. Best advice is to get out in 6 months or less.

Pros

- Great place for those just who are starting off their careers. You will learn a lot in a very short amount of time. - Opportunity to wear multiple hats because it is a smaller company. - Close-knit family feel, you will easily develop many good friendships here. - Client driven company so opportunities to network with many sponsor pharmaceutical companies and build useful connections. - Very hands on new management team and President, which you don't see at many companies. - Fast pace environment so never a dull day where you're not doing anything.

Cons

- This is a stepping stone job/company that you stay at for 1-2 years and leave. - Extremely high employee turnover, seems like every other week there was someone leaving. - Although the new management/leadership is great, there is lots of damage control needed due to the old management who didn't know what they were doing and drove their departments to the ground. - Stressful and chaotic environment due to lack of proper workflows/systems in place. -Directive on priorities and status of different tasks and projects are not clear and usually not communicated well. - Over promising of unrealistic timelines and commitments to clients for the sake of revenue. - Most of the staff is new in their career and very young, needs more seasoned scientists/analysts/etc. that know what they are doing to help mentor the younger employees. - Lots of people working long days and coming in on weekends.
