US Office & CEO has little support for Irish Office
Pros
The Irish office is brilliant. Full of nice people and the facilities are perfect. The culture in the office is wonderful, with work-life balance being very important to all levels of staff.
Cons
The salary is not great. It's ok for the West of Ireland, but with remote working available to most, it just cannot compete with companies in Dublin, Galway or Limerick. They could try and compete, but the US office does not supply sufficient funding to the Irish office to do so. The old CEO loved the Irish office and although he had some questionable ideas, he would have this office thrive right now if he was still in charge. The current CEO took over and would probably close the Irish office down today if he could. He does not care for the Irish office - it's just something at the back of his mind. In his 3 or 4 years in charge, he still has not even bothered travelling over from Utah to visit the 70-90 staff members. The Irish office is neglected and all of the benefits of the amazing office and staff has come from the work of the Irish employees and the previous team in the US before Jonathan Johnson took charge. He is not responsible for anything worth talking about.
