Work is not monitored as it should be

Easy remote work compared to most jobs
Cons
Some co workers do nothing but smoke weed and drink wine all day while the rest of us actually had to work remotely.

Cons
Internal communication can be improved!

Pros
Some Coworkers are great and make the day go by fast.
Cons
The Senior Leadership monitors your every move on the computer utilizing Teramind. They take the percentage of the time you are interacting with the mouse or keyboard and use that percentage as your productivity score. Forces people to draw out task and not work faster. I was told I would be assigned busy work to keep my score up since I was completing my task early. Co-worker had to prove they were on a conference call because Teramind showed 0% "productivity" for that part of the day. Teramind records your screen throughout the day so they can watch what you are doing for all 8 hours. Zero trust in their employees. Benefits are expensive. No room for remote work. Only certain employees get to work remote on Thursdays.

Cons
Advancement could be hard for certain positions.

Pros
This is a good company for people looking to get an entry level office job and branch into the insurance and/or IT field. Overtime is not expected. If you’re competent, this job is really easy because the bar is set really low here.
Cons
Firstly, the company handled COVID terribly. Employees who were exposed/travelled or tested positive with an at home test were still made to come into office. Employees who were at risk were denied permission to work remotely. PTO includes sick days. If you feel slightly under the weather and want to work from home they’ll force you to take PTO. This company thrives on complacency. Instead of treating their employees right, they rely on their employees not realizing their value and staying here. They try to promote the tenure of their employees but really those employees don’t have the qualifications to go elsewhere. Talented employees usually leave after they hit the 5 year mark, if they haven’t already left. This company is also very greedy. They slashed employee longevity bonuses in 2021 yet the sales team boasted how the 2021 year was great for sales. Employees were given inconsistent answers when inquiries about this pay cut were made. The company rebranded from an “insurance” company to a “technology” company but none of the current managers know the first thing about how a technology company should operate. They sell new features before they are even developed, then release said features before the development process is even completed. It makes everyone look bad. As far as culture goes, I frequently felt uncomfortable when working here; due to both remarks made directly to me and how other employees were treated. Favoritism is rampant here, and if you aren’t a favorite you are usually the subject of a joke or harassment.

Cons

Pros
They treat new people very well
Cons
This company is not by any means innovative with their technology. Tasks are repetitive across many of the IT teams and it is known internally that this will not change. There are large egos in the building that are allowed to run loose mostly unchecked. Politics are discussed frequently and loudly making many of the staff uncomfortable. It is an environment where you are encouraged to speak up with ideas, but I saw many ideas shot down or claimed by management and senior team members as their own ideas. They notify that they may be monitoring employees and management was in disarray about what the current productivity standards was for such monitoring. Some employees were even informed that their screen is actively monitored throughout the day by management. Management discourages staff by claiming that they must prove their value to the company, and yet they provide no direction to those individuals. The cultural degradation over my time at the company was very obvious.

Pros
They do have great coworkers that is not part of the management group.
Cons
Management group lacks management skills. Owners have made a mistake putting a manger in place that has no clue of IT. Benefits are horrible, they claim that its one of the best in industry standard.. That would be a total lie.. Owners need to realize that they are losing quality employees due to the management team in place. Management needs to take a class on how to treat employees.. I have always said "If you don't have any trust on your employees then why have employees".

Quickly Imploding

Great Coworkers & potential to work remote
Cons
Lack of communication in all departments. Upper management is invisible. Consistently rolls out new ‘services’ without fully vetting the product’s performance leaving clients confused & employees embarrassed. Overall they are trying to ‘Keep up with the Jones’, and quickly running iout of steam. High employee turnover rate.
