Leadership lies, gaslights, deflects, blame-shifts.
Benefits were misleading.
Drastic responsibility & OKR shifts every month.
Micromanaging, undermining, insulting

Thank you for your feedback. Although I disagree with many of your assertions, I do agree that OKR’s and responsibilities shift from time to time. As a fast-paced, emerging startup, we are agile and sometimes change focus temporarily, always with our customer’s needs at the forefront of our decision making and our company vision in sight. We clearly set this expectation with our team. In fact, “Embrace Change” is even one of our core values.
If you’d like to connect and discuss further, we’re happy to talk.
Compensation was in the higher percentiles and was supposed (verbatim) to make us "suck it up" when it comes to all the rest.
Cons
TOXIC culture - the CEO is a psychopath who doesn't know how to manage leaders, controls the tiniest of details, and uses gaslighting and bullying as his favourite tactics.

There are many points on which I respectfully disagree. In a fairly early stage startup, it is true that as CEO and Founder I may be more involved in certain aspects of the business than you would find in a more mature organization. That said, seasoned employees and leaders know that as they come to understand the vision of the businesses and trust is built, this “hands on” mindset in time evolves.

pay was just about there, they did what they could, though benefits were a joke
Cons
No business morals or integrity. If you are a female, watch out, this place can quickly make you feel small. They team up and bully. It's not a place of collaborative fun or a safe space. Watch, after this post, they'll go make 3 more employees post something positive rather than change.

I'm saddened that these are your sentiments and that you feel the need to spread misleading information about our culture and incorrect details about employee and customer attrition. We at Base pride ourselves on having a 40% female workforce. Our leadership team is currently 40% female and will soon be 50%. Many Base employees, including women, have been part of our team for over 3 years now. Their longevity is a statement of their true passion for Base, its team and our great culture. The reaction to a similar post you made on another forum was a long thread of comments by amazing females on our team paying testament to their high level of work satisfaction and the positive work environment.
The Base team is a tight knit group of professionals who, together, have created an amazing company (you spent only a few short months at the company and didn't take the opportunities given to you to get to know the team).
We plan to continue growing our team with additional people of this caliber.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
