What a dumpster!

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

Run, and don't even look back. By far, this was the most disorganized, disrespectful, and discriminatory company I have ever worked for. I'm truly surprised FDA has not shut them down due to how the clinical operations are run. No proper onboarding and training process, they expect you to come in and start doing your job without providing much assistance. If you ask questions, they will assume you are not qualified for your position. No one really knows where the study documents are located because their entire eTMF and CTMS is SharePoint and in a form of an excel spreadsheet. It's a complete mess. The manager is arrogant, disrespectful, and self-entitled. Discrimination towards immigrants is their mojo. My manager told me in my face sarcastically "I'm not even sure you understand what I'm saying..." If they offer you relocation assistance, keep in mind you will be responsible to pay it all back unless you work for them for two years. Please do not believe all those 5-star one-sentence reviews as they are most likely fake. I could go on and on and on with all the cons as what I have said above is just a small part of this joke of a company. All I can say is please do not ever consider working for them

Pros

Regulatory Department is really a dumpster!

Cons

I'm in 100% agreement with the review dated August 25, 2025, as I've experienced similar first-hand in the Regulatory Department. New Management as of February 2025 is very dishonest, secretive, works in silo, favors employees who work in silo and gives very toxic treatment to ones who collaborate, is so disorganized, ignores emails and instant messages (multiple functional groups have complained to my department’s colleagues and to me about this), is very top-down attitude (arrogant), unfair, lacks people skills, is so incompetent in Regulatory as majority of former roles were merged with Quality and the fact doesn't know Regulatory answers when other functional groups ask during meetings is proof - more than few times, and barely says one word during meetings with functional groups (there's been many times does not say one single word throughout whole meetings). After I departed this company, a week later, a former colleague who still works there from a different functional group texted my cell phone to complain Management did not say a single word in 3 hours total of meetings in a work week and that this was "so wild"! I responded to the former colleague that this is no surprise to my whole Department and now to different functional groups. I also shared with the former colleague (who's still an Axogen employee) there was an awkward incident months ago in which an FDA submission document was lost in sharepoint (most current content was all gone), even with IT confirming the latest employee who was in the document was a Clinical employee who was not able to technically sync or save the document due to their location, in response Management instant messaged Regulatory and asked if anyone had deleted that document that was due to FDA that very day. This made a few of my department’s colleagues and myself very uncomfortable due to Management's accusatory and very immature + coward approach when knew from being told by IT Department (as I was present) it was a specific employee in Clinical who was not able to save it accidentally. Instead of dealing with the matter at hand of how to fix the issue, Management attempted to cast blame within the group. Amazing! I also shared with my former colleague that Management almost always declines, pushes forward, or doesn't bother to show up during our 1:1 weekly meetings. The last meeting I had with Management, Management kept pushing it out for literally over 1 month (in a weekly manner); on the day Management actually, finally showed up, Management out of the blue stated HR will be joining. That was the day I was told out of the blue with no forewarn that my position was eliminated - this meeting happened in less than 2 minutes and then my work computer screen turned black right after. Months ago, Management led me on by requesting for me to be patient about my promotion. Management is not to be trusted! Management regularly states one thing and does the opposite; this is not the first time. I was not given a formal exit interview by HR as I’ve been with Axogen for years! Axogen HR is a joke!

Pros

None. This is an awful place to work. I would give this company negative stars if it were possible.

Cons

I strongly advise against working at Axogen, particularly in the RA department. When I joined, management behaved in unethical manner. For example, documents authored by one person were reassigned to others without their knowledge or consent— something discovered while searching documents on my own. A colleague experienced the same issue with the same individual, and I witnessed their frustration firsthand during a confrontation meeting. Additionally, despite my openness about lacking experience in certain areas, I was pressured to draft procedures for responsibilities I was not qualified to handle. Besides the previous, there is no training program in place for new hires. After a few months, new management took over the Regs Affairs department, and conditions deteriorated further. The environment became highly disorganized and disrespectful of employees’ time. Meetings were often canceled at the last minute, or managers failed to show up entirely. On occasions when they did attend one-on-one meetings, they were distracted, disengaged, and rushed through sessions scheduled for 30 minutes in less than five. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for employees was constant. Communication within the department was virtually nonexistent. New hires were brought in without notifying the rest of the team, and the department was excluded from the hiring process altogether, creating unnecessary chaos and confusion. Transparency and respect were completely absent. In addition, the workplace culture felt openly hostile and, in my experience, racially biased against certain employees. New leadership went as far as requesting personal information. Let’s be clear: no one, regardless of title or position, should ever cross that line in a professional—or personal—setting. Despite my proven track record at leading global biopharmaceutical companies, the new leadership—lacking of expertise in the RA field—actively obstructed my work and questioned my capabilities. I also witnessed knowledgeable, competent individuals being dismissed simply because their skills highlighted management’s shortcomings. Axogen’s higher ups must also be called out for allowing this behavior to persist. It raises questions about whether proper vetting is being done, things were commented about concerning details about certain individuals. Leadership at Axogen routinely takes credit for employees’ achievements while failing to acknowledge their efforts or even recognize their presence. In short, the culture is toxic, and leadership behaves more like opportunists than professionals. You can expect to be undermined. RUN AWAY. I would never recommend this company—or this department—to anyone. Working here is not worth your time or energy. It has been one of the most disappointing professional experiences of my career, to the point that I feel embarrassed to list this company on my resume. I share this experience out of obligation, so you are aware of the reality you may face if you choose to join.
