Pros

A nurturing environment for the mediocre and puerile.

Cons

Feckless senior management, lickspittle middle management and a venomous HR department deliver an utterly toxic work environment. Petty turf battles, back stabbing and hypocrisy rule the day, every day. I'd rather clean septic tanks than work at HVMA again.

Pros

Salary, benefits, vacation days, cme are all competitive.

Cons

CEO + upper management ran cost control programs without respect for patients and staff. Outside referrals were denied even when no local specialists were available. There is zero humanism. Employees are treated like interchangeable cogs in the machine. There is no mechanism for feedback back up the chain. Offices are chronically understaffed and overstressed.

Pros

There are good benefits and flexibility

Cons

terrible pay with constant warnings to reduce it further. a constant drone of new initiatives while overworked physicians stay up past midnight trying to finish their notes. the worst abuses are the non-income generating administrators and managers who are sucking the organization dry.
