Pros

Flexible work environment (telecommuting & home office). Staff is very talented and experienced. Fair compensation and benefits.

Cons

Management lacks integrity towards employees and clients. The founder is a "one-trick pony" that oversells and under delivers. No wonder all clients dump the company between 6-18 months after engaging their services. They all usually end up arguing about billing discrepancies. Management is interested in turning the company around and selling it while they can. Lots of restructuring but nothing to show for it.

Pros

permanently work from home, for now. Good starting point for PTO policy.

Cons

They are constantly changing policies making it impossible to grow. They have a heavy presence on Linkedin but because they have goals for employees to post on LinkedIn to qualify for bonus. They also built into the goals for posting positive glassdoor review. The company is deteriorating, long timers leaving. Very minimal raises, annual increases for past couple of years: "Exceeding expectations" = 1.8% increase, "meets expectation" = 0.6% increase. It is becoming a very toxic environment. Don't be fooled with sugar coated, cherry topped recruitment style. when your contract ends, they will not help you find a new contract. they will let go of people with false excuses. Benefits are getting cut year after year, went from amazing health care, to subpar. The 401K accounts have high fees with minimal matching. HR is overwhelmed by being a 1 man show. Paystubs are managed like it's 1980. They initially offered paying for tuition for masters when I started, now they dont. They dont even invest $100 to allow you to take a management course. They promised everyone CPP then ghosted the whole company on that topic. They took away many many other perks and made it barebone so upper management can keep more $.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It’s clear that you’ve thought your comments through. It’s helpful to us to know what employees are feeling about their experience at Adept whether it is positive or negative, which is why we encourage this dialogue. We pride ourselves at Adept on the strength of our team’s technical knowledge and that is why our marketing strategy is built around thought leadership. We invest time into sharing that knowledge and making connections that expand upon that knowledge via LinkedIn and other networking opportunities. As part of the performance bonus we encourage Associates to participate in industry conversations on LinkedIn and offer them training and tools to make it easy. This is not only a positive for Adept, but it’s also a benefit for the Associate who is eligible for additional referral bonuses for new employees or new clients. I began my role as Managing Director in October of 2020, so I can’t speak for previous annual increases. Like everyone else in the current labor market, we are working hard on compensation alignment. Even though the company did not achieve its budget goals in 2020, every Associate received an increase in 2021 (except me). We also aligned performance bonuses so that everyone was eligible for one when previously that was not the case. In 2021, we transitioned from Quickbooks payroll to a professional payroll company this year. If you need training on how to access your pay stub through the ADP app or website, please let your manager know. Regarding whether or not Adept helps Associates find new contracts, in 2021 we went from a sales team of one to a sales team of three full time and one part time sales person. We’ve invested in sales enablement tools, trade shows and networking events to make sure that our pipeline remains full. You can read more about their success in the next newsletter or Town Hall meeting. To address your thoughts on training, for many years each associate was given a training allowance to encourage skills and personal development. Because of COVID-19, we temporarily paused that program. At this point, training is not only encouraged, it is part of the requirements for earning your bonus and goes towards your billable hours. The Essentials of Sustainable Packaging, a twelve part training series by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, was rolled out company wide. Pryor training courses, including training on management skills have been offered in the past. Tuition reimbursement was included in the company survey and based on feedback, was not something that people wanted. I would welcome discussions on a case by case basis. Thank you again for your feedback. It is very much appreciated. Our goal is to improve, and this kind of feedback helps us get better. Hasanna

Pros

Collaborative culture - good benefits - able to work remotely

Cons

Virtually no training on product/s- out of touch management both literally and figuratively - my role was changed frequently - my manager said he had my back but he really didn't - trying to figure out commission was like a physics problem. Not the friendliest office environment.
