Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to comment or provide - Do not work for ALS!

Cons

Extremely poor HR Management and Team Leadership. Inadequately trained supervisors who have no real experience in leading a team of staff. Supervisors who do not know how to communicate and show quality mentoring. Poor to below average wages and limited opportunities for promotion. Employees are not acknowledged for working long hours.

Core Value - Toxic Resilience

Pros

Talented Peers: You will work with incredibly resilient and hardworking people who genuinely care about the results. Safety - they really hold safety high. Lots of awareness and attention in keeping staff safe.

Cons

Systemic Under-Resourcing: Expectations are consistently set without the budget, headcount, or tools needed to achieve them. Continually forcing employee vacation during the slow season to lower TEC, instead of allowing staff to use it for rest during the busy season to alleviate burnout. This is causing a never ending "busy season" and should not be the permanent operating model. Toxic Resilience Culture: Leadership frames burnout as a personal failure of "grit" or "toughness" rather than a structural issue. There is significant pressure to "power through" chronic stress without rest. Performative Wellness: The company offers wellness/mental health benefits and made a point of stating it was broadened after the most recent engagement survey, instead of addressing the root cause: unmanageable workloads and chronic lack of support. Constant "Crisis Mode": Everything is a high-priority emergency because there isn't enough staff to manage routine workflows, leading to physical and mental fatigue.

Pros

Great team, great manager, IT systems that work. I have met some fabulous friends.

Cons

Staff are disengaged and are made to feel worthless; the pay does not match the job you do; inconsistencies in recognition for team members of the same department; belittling of higher echelons of management; micro management by levels of management that really shouldn't be involved in the minutiae; physical environment is crappy with no expectations to make feel better
