Mission Targeted Provision's mission is to reshape alternative provision in line with a relational learning and trauma-informed practice, putting our children and young people at the centre of our support and keeping the team around the child.
Description Targeted Provision was established so that young people with unmet needs can feel supported, heard, and empowered to discover joy in learning and chart their own educational path with confidence and resilience.
We use trauma-informed solutions that most often take the form of tuition to foster trust, resilience, and motivation. We look to ignite young people’s potential for a self-determined, successful future.
Targeted Provision was born in 2018 out of a need for young people to access a wider range of appropriate educational provision that put the young person themselves at the centre. We began by working with a small team in a number of selected group of counties where we could make the greatest impact.
By 2020 we had grown to have a Nationwide read and were redefining tuition as Relational Learning, offering an alternative to mainstream tutoring agencies, we captured the attention of Local Authorities and Schools across the UK, supporting hundreds of young people back into education.
In 2023 we became a team of 60, have nurtured relationships with over 1000 tutors, and are working with most Local Authorities and Schools. We increasingly understood the range of needs that go unmet for the UK's most vulnerable learners.
From 2024 and onwards we will continue being the catalyst for change, allowing young people to trust, self-regulate and take ownership of their own educational journey, to re-engage with their futures and contribute meaningfully to society.
