I have been working at Holiday Extras full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management care, not only about you personally but also your progression. They're willing to invest in you then reward you when you excel.

There is a large amount of money invested into small events ( usually including free food and drink :) ) scattered throughout the year, additionally more practical benefits such as a private pension scheme etc.

The workload is nonstop as you would expect with a company that is constantly growing, but is managed well to avoid stress. The offices are lovely and modern, chill out spaces and lots of free coffee and hot chocolate machines!

    Cons

Pay is a little under, but improving with salary matches to local companies.
I personally feel sometimes the pod system gets in the way of being as productive as possible.
    There are no deal-breaking cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, you guys do a brilliant job.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Holiday Extras (Hythe, Kent, South East England, England (UK)) in February 2017.

    Interview

Group presentation of who we would deal with a given scenario related to holiday extras, followed by a technical test and an interview. Everyone is extremely friendly and approachable, the interview was very casual and used competency based questions.

9 Cool UK Companies Hiring Now - Glassdoor Blog (UK)

So what are the things that make these employers so great? You can't see it or feel it but it seems culture is the most important factor which leads to long-term job satisfaction according to Glassdoor . Whilst this year's Best Place To Work winner (Expedia) is well loved by its employees, there are other companies equally as great.
