Description Founded by Ingvar Kamprad in 1943 as a tiny Swedish mail-order catalog business, today IKEA is a global home furnishing brand that lives in the hearts of the many people. One of the world's top furniture retailers, IKEA sells Scandinavian-style home furnishings and other housewares in about 422 stores in some 50 markets.

IKEA is proud to support EveryYouth who stop young people falling through the cracks by helping them build a life they are proud of. 90% of homeless young people experience childhood trauma – it’s no wonder that this group is disproportionately likely to be NEET (not in education, employment or training). That is why IKEA and EveryYouth are partnering to support young people experiencing homelessness to overcome barriers to education, employment and training (EET) via funding for the EveryYouth Boost, which helps young people with targeted financial support to overcome practical barriers to EET. EveryYouth’s Boost fills crucial gaps in support, offering help with items such as work clothes, training expenses and travel which are often not included in conventional service provision. In just six months IKEA’s funding delivered 208 positive EET outcomes for young people in EveryYouth’s Network. We’re also partnering on Project Flourish, which was created in collaboration with Hays, who are a partners and Activator of The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme.
