As we continue to witness the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene and the aftermath of the storm, our hearts are heavy for the loss of life and the devastated communities. We are keeping those impacted top of mind and have initiated support. Our mobile medicine teams have made dozens of trips to transport patients and deliver supplies – via our Atrium Health MedCenter Air and Wake Forest Baptist AirCare air ambulance teams, as well as with our ambulances on the ground. We expect our MED-1 mobile hospital to be deployed to provide much-needed medical services in the disaster area. Additionally, Atrium Health Georgia EMS is assisting with search and rescue missions, transporting patients and answering emergency calls.
