Abrel is an Electronic Manufacturing and Assembly company based in Raheen Business Park, Limerick. We are a wholly Irish owed Company which has been in operation for nearly 30 years supplying solutions to the electronic/automotive industry.

We have immediate opportunities for a SMT Operator. This is a full-time position 39/40 hrs per week, with flexibility in start and finish time outside of core hours. Immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks according to production work schedule to ensure production targets are met.
• Operation of the complete SMT process, Machine operation, Loading Diagrams, Pick and Place programes
• Pick components and prepare kits for manufacturing.
• Complete basic soldering rework of SMT/Thru Hole components.
• Perform Visual inspection of SMT/Thru Hole Assemblies
• Cleaning of SMT /Thru Hole Assemblies.
• Ensure jobs are tracked through the process.
• Ensure quality, quantity and inspection of work output to IPC standards.
• Support shipping and logistics department, as required.
• Highlight any issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Foster and always create a culture of dignity and respect.
• Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with site H&S Standards and Procedures and relevant legal requirements.
• Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with our QMS requirements.
• Other adhoc duties as required.

Skills/Experience required:

Leaving Cert standard with certification in IPC7711/7721 and IPC A610 an advantage

• 1 - 2 experience in a similar role within an electronics manufacturing environment
• Competent in the use of Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT /Thru Hole assembly process.
• Familiar with BricsCad and Ranger software packages an advantage.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
• Ability in the use of: Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine, Pick and Place Machine, Reflow Oven, Wave Soldering and AOI technology machines, etc.
• Capability to work as per Quality Procedures/Work Instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both in a team and individually.
• Results and deadline oriented.
