I emailed with someone in the talent acquisition department and confirmed a time for a phone interview. I followed up confirming and asked that they contact me if there was anything else they needed from me (sent in 5 days before the call). Nobody called at the time of the interview. I emailed to follow up and they apologized for forgetting the call, blaming it on a miscommunication or technical error. They said that the person who confirmed my appointment, did so before speaking with the hiring manager who has the final say in who gets interviewed and did not let me know. I politely asked if it was too much to get an email saying they were going in a different direction, to which she was sarcastic, condescending and hoped that I was able to recover the time I lost because of their miscommunication; ending with a line about keeping my resume for future jobs. Just disgusting.
