The overall interview process was long. It took them ~3 months from start to finish. The rounds were as follows
- 30 minute recruiter screen
- 30 minute talk with hiring manager
-30 minute talk with a member you interface with
- 30 minute presentation and 5 person panel interview who are either members of the team or people you interface with at the job
-30 minute talk with the VP of the group.
It seemed pretty confusing for them to schedule an interview with the VP who did nothing but explain the company only to call back a week later saying they were seeking someone with more experience for the role at the end of 3 months even though the whole interview feedback was positive.
A time duration of 3 months from start to finish even after saying the feedback was positive and at a time like this during the pandemic when people are struggling to find jobs is borderline insulting to the candidate, would really appreciate more thought on that front. Playing with people who are desperate for jobs at a time like this although may be legally okay, just doesn't morally sit right.
With all that being said, interviewers were friendly and nice people with whom I really enjoyed my talks. Hoped for a different outcome, but such is life. :)
