Interview
Job fair at mall in Toronto.
Went earliest time at earliest day (3 days of job fair), however there was still a massive line of people waiting to get interviewed. People handed out applications to fill out, however I recommend doing them before and bringing so that you can get references.
Interview was pretty okay, it is 1 on 1, but there are others getting interviewed in the same room as you. He sounded like he was going to hire me because he told me the training dates, asked for my schedule, and asked when he should contact my references. Maybe my references gave me a bad reference? No idea. I never got a call back. They give you a slip of paper to fill out a survey if they like you though. I heard that meant you have a good chance to get a job. I got the paper but didnt get the job. Darn it. (UPDATE!!!!! I got a call back!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said I got the job)
I think jeans are okay to wear to the fair, they even said so. However, wearing something somewhat more formal like a skirt or something might stand out. Do NOT come in a suit or complete business woman look. I only saw 2 people like that and they looked awkward.
You should know about fashion, whats trending, and who is your fashion icon.
These people go through interview after interview so be unique!

The manager that hired me at Marshalls called me back within two business days after I checked on my status of the application. I had previous retail experience before which helped the hiring process move quickly
