I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (San Antonio, TX)
Interview
Asked a few superficial questions related to makeup, bad guests, and bad coworkers. Honestly, it's hard not to get the job because I know so many people that leave. Most locations are desperate for people, so they end up hiring less than qualified people. I've run into them hiring idiots that no matter how many times you explain to someone (mostly above your paygrade) how to do something, they still can manage to forget it.

Question 1
Nothing. Everything on the application was basically mentioned.
An interview at Ulta is a professional meeting where candidates showcase their skills, customer service abilities, and passion for beauty products. It allows hiring managers to evaluate if you align with Ulta’s values, culture, and expectations for the role. During the interview, you may discuss your previous retail experiences, knowledge of beauty trends, teamwork, and how you handle customer interactions. Preparing for common questions and demonstrating enthusiasm, reliability, and strong communication can significantly boost your chances of success in joining the Ulta team.
